Makati City, Philippines — On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, June 4, 2023, five young men professed for the first time the evangelical vows of poverty, chastity, obedience, and fidelity to the Roman Pontiff in a Eucharistic Celebration presided by the Superior General Fr. Domenico Soliman, SSP.

The newly professed members of the Society of St. Paul are Clerics Miko Joseph M. Dela Cruz, Eugene Isaac D. Leaño, Anjon Fredrick Titus C. Mamunta, Philip Jay Eymard F. Orongan from the Philippines-Macau Province, and Vietnamese Joseph Timothy Le Van Bien from Japan Province. Fr. Norman Melchor R. Peña, Jr. and Br. Dennis L. Figuerres stood as witnesses for the four Filipino Juniors, while Fr. Shinichi Suzuki and Br. Shuichi Araikawa for Cleric Bien.

In his homily, Provincial Superior Fr. Mario S. Sobrejuanite, SSP challenged the new Juniors to a life of holiness and service, of communion with God and with his people, using the most efficacious means or platforms of communication.

After Communion, the Superior General gave his personal message to the newly professed members. Fr. Soliman said that, in reference to the Solemnity of the day, the Founder signed a “pact,” which he did “in the name of the Trinity,” and together with Bl. Timothy Giaccardo; Fr. Alberione himself made “a pact with the Trinity.” Fr. Soliman, then, encouraged the new Juniors to constantly open themselves to divine inspiration and providence. The Trinity, the Superior General taught, is the ultimate source of creativity and of passion to be artisans of communication and communion today.

Present in the momentous event were the members of the Pauline Family, families, relatives, friends and benefactors of the newly professed members.

After the Mass, an agape was held at the Don Zanoni Gymnasium.
