The Blessing and Dedication of the new Formation house of the Society of St Paul took place at Ikot Ekpene today 4th of April 2024. The Ceremony began with the Holy mass, presided by His Lordship Most Rev. Dr. Camillus R. Umoh, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene. The Regional Superior and members from all the communities in the Region were in attendance. Present at the ceremony were also Priests and Religious of the Catholic Diocese of Ikot Ekpene.
In his Homily, the Bishop recalled that the date for the celebration is significant as it coincides with the 140th birthday of Blessed James Alberione, founder of the Pauline family. He thanked the Society of St Paul for finding his diocese worthy of housing a formation house and urged the members of the newfound community to collaborate with the Diocese in leading the people to God. He further stressed that the word of God must be the guide of every Christian.
The celebration concluded with a fellowship meal and presentation congratulating the Society of St Paul on this great achievement.
