On the 109th Foundation Day of the Society of St Paul (20 August 2023), the new constructed residential wing of the community in Kozhikode was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr Varghese Chakkalakal, Bishop of Calicut (Kozhikode), in the presence of Fr Joby Mathew, Provincial Superior, clergy, religious Brothers and Sisters, and a number of Paulines from different communities of the Province. The three-storey residence with 10 fully furnished rooms, kitchen, dining room, chapel and an indoor badminton court is part of the ST PAULS Complex situated on the Kozhikode-Wayanad-Mysore National Highway. The entire project was completed in 18 months, thanks to the relentless efforts of (late) Fr Felix Vadakkedath, Br Blaise Thadathil, Fr Gilbert Kannikkatt, and Fr Sebastian Elavunkal who coordinated different aspects of the work and completed the project in time. The new wing also houses a multi-purpose hall, a dormitory and a study hall for the purpose of vocation promotion and initial formation. A big thank you to the former Provincial Superior, Fr Varghese Gnalian and his team, for initiating this project in Kozhikode.
