Dall’India ci giunge notizia che martedì, 30 gennaio 2001, il Signore ha chiamato all’eternità il nostro caro fratello Discepolo del Divin Maestro FR. REMIS CHRISTOPHER TOPPO 71 anni di età, 48 di vita paolina, 43 di professione religiosa.

Nato a Kurdeg (Jharkhand, India) il 2 novembre 1929, Remis era entrato nella Società San Paolo ad Allahabad nel gennaio 1953. Aveva ventitré anni ed aveva già frequentato le scuole superiori. In Allahabad trascorse gli anni della sua formazione paolina; emise la prima professione religiosa il 9 settembre 1957, assumendo il nome di Christopher; si consacrò definitivamente al Signore cinque anni più tardi, l’8 settembre 1962.

Gesù prega perché gli apostoli siano santi, essi si distinguano bene dal mondo, non abbiano, cioè, più i pensieri del mondo, i sentimenti dei mondani, né le parole, né le azioni di coloro che seguono il mondo (APD56, 282).
