In a simple rite held last June 6, 2023, Postulants Kerence Fritz Fabellon Faderanga and Julius Carl Gunda Ramasta made their formal entrance into the Novitiate of the Society of St. Paul, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. It was officiated by Fr. Domenico Soliman, SSP, the Superior General of the Society of St. Paul, who together with the new Provincial Superior, Fr. Mario S. Sobrejuanite, were making their fraternal visit to the SSP Cebu-Novitiate Community.
Fr. Soliman exhorted the new Novices to have a solid Pauline identity, configured always in Jesus, the Divine Master. Speaking about the Pauline mission, he continued to say that these young Paulines should be able to dream, to have a vision, to be creators of ways to propagate the Good News.
Faderanga, 23 yrs old, hails from Romblon. Ramasta, 25 yrs old, who comes from Eastern Samar, is a returnee after a 2-year regency during his Postulancy.
The Novices will stay for one year at SSP Cebu-Novitiate House and will be under the guidance of Novice Master Fr. Raymond C. Ferraris, Asst. Novice Master Bro. Dennis L. Figuerres, and Local Superior Fr. Paul A. Yntig.
