On 31 January, Fr. Alberto Dionísio Santos, 43 years old and diocesan priest of Bonfim (Bahia), made his first profession in the Institute of Jesus the Priest. The Mass was presided by Fr. Valdecir Conte, SSP and concelebrated by a number of Pauline priests. Fr. Alberto's Pauline contact began in 2006 and after the period of postulancy and novitiate, asked the Provincial Superior to be admitted for Profession of the vows of poverty, chastity, obedience and fildelity to the Pope.
The celebration was beautiful and simple with the participation of a big number of faithful from the Parish of St. Ignatius, in Vila Mariana, in São Paulo.
Fr. Alberione Dionísio is the first Brazilian priest to become part of the Institute founded by Blessed James Alberione. Blessed Alberione wanted to offer to diocesan priests the possibility of also participating in the Pauline spirituality, living the examples of Jesus Divine Master, Way, Truth and Life, under the guidance of Mary. Queen of Apostles and of St. Paul, the Apostle.
