In the afternoon of July 14, 2018, ST PAULS Philippines, in partnership with the Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord in SM Megamall, held a half-day recollection entitled “Consecration: A Response to God’s Mercy”.  Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC, the author of the book for Marian consecration, 33 Days to Morning Glory, was the resource speaker.

This half-day recollection was well-attended by the lay faithful, the clergy, and consecrated persons. In fact, two weeks before the event, registration already reached beyond fully-booked status. The Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord has a 900 seating capacity but ST PAULS Marketing Events staff received 1400 registrants. Eventually, the event had a 90% turn-out rate — 1256 came on the actual day, 96 of which were walk-in participants. The recollection was also broadcasted via Facebook live whose viewership peaked at 5000.

ST PAULS Philippines is the official Philippine publisher of Fr. Michael Gaitley’s books which sold like hot-cakes during and after the recollection. The published titles include 33 Days to Merciful LoveThe ‘One Thing’ is ThreeYou Did it to Me and The Consoling Heart of Jesus

“Consecration: A Response to God’s Mercy” is an apostolic initiative of ST PAULS Philippines as a response to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines’ (CBCP) call in preparation for the 500th anniversary of the arrival of the Catholic faith in the Philippines which will be celebrated in 2021. The current year 2018 is, in fact,  declared as Year for Clergy and Consecrated Persons.
