Thursday, 3 December 2015, was certainly a happy and memorable day for the Society of St Paul, India-Nigeria-Great Britain-Ireland Province as two of our brothers, Punna Rao Mekala and Francis Xavier J. pronounced their final ‘yes’ to the Lord and to the Congregation. The solemn Eucharistic celebration in the Community Chapel, Pune was presided over by Rev. Fr Michael Raj, the Provincial Superior. Fr Gregory Rayappan, the Superior of the Community Welcomed the moderate gathering at the very outset. In his homily, Fr Thomas Mangamthanath, the Director of Formation, said that the people outside do not understand the relevance or meaning of religious life today but you, my brothers, should be convinced and by your life should show to the world that this life is still relevant and meaningful.

The presence of a few members from the campus, sisters from Daughters of St Paul, brothers and sisters from the various religious houses witnessed the bold step our brothers have taken. The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a short programme wherein they were felicitated and a brief video presentation was shown about their life’s journey to this day. The celebration ended with a fellowship meal.

Congratulations dear brothers and best wishes and prayers for your future ministry.
