Fr. Richard Brunner

Ieri, alle 9:30 (ora locale), allo Staten Island University Hospital, è tornato al Padre il nostro fratello Discepolo del Divin Maestro FR. CHARLES RICHARD BRUNNER, 69 anni di età, 54 di vita paolina, 48 di professione religiosa.

Fr. Richard, il cui nome di battesimo era Charles, nacque nella città di Erie (Pennsylvania) il 17 dicembre 1944, in piena Seconda guerra mondiale. Entrò nella Società San Paolo il 10 settembre 1959, nella comunità di Derby. Al termine dei due anni di noviziato, compiuto a Canfield (1963-1965), emise la prima professione religiosa l'8 settembre 1965, assumendo in tale circostanza il nome di Richard. Terminata la formazione, emise la professione perpetua, sempre a Canfield, il 23 agosto 1970.

Sempre abbiam da santificar la mente, quindi istruirsi, nell’apostolato. E poi santificare il cuore, quindi amare l’apostolato per amore di Gesù. E poi santificare la volontà, quindi compiere il nostro apostolato, impiegando le forze che abbiamo (APD56, 236).

Siempre tenemos que santificar la mente, por lo tanto, instruirse, en el apostolado. Y después santificar el corazón, por tanto, amar el apostolado por amor a Jesús. Y luego santificar la voluntad, por tanto, realizar nuestro apostolado, con las fuerzas que tenemos (APD56, 236).

We always must sanctify the mind, therefore instruct ourselves, in the apostolate. And then sanctify the heart, then love the apostolate out of love for Jesus. And then sanctify the will, then carry out our apostolate, using the strength we have (APD56, 236).
