India Feast St PaulJune 29, 2014, a red letter day for our small community at Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala. The community celebrated the feast of St Paul, our Patron, along with the blessing of the newly built house for the senior members and conclusion of the Centenary year of our foundation. The celebrations began at 10.30 am with the Superior of the community, Fr Saju Ellickal warmly welcoming His Lordship Sebastian Adayanthrath and our friends and well wishers. This was followed by the solemn high Mass in Syro-Malabar rite presided over by his Lordship Sebastian Adayanthrath, the auxiliary Bishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese.

During his homily the Bishop highly appreciated the presence, media apostolate and pastoral involvement of the Paulines in the Archdiocese. He spent some time to thank the Provincial for his prayerful and caring presence on this joyful occasion. He wished that the newly built house for the senior members with a beautiful chapel be a house of prayer. After the homily the bishop blessed and consecrated the new chapel and the altar.

After the Holy Mass the Provincial Superior, Fr Michael Raj, in his short message highlighted the significance of the day for us Paulines and in brief reminded the gathering about our specific charism in the Church. As a conclusion all our friends and benefactors gathered at the Rani Maria hall of the Renewal centre, along with the Bishop for a delicious lunch.

Our campus at Kochi has a new look and the community members appreciate and thank our Team Leader, Fr Saju, for so meticulously planning and executing every programme of the day.
