A las 6,00 (hora local) de esta mañana, en el hospital "Regina Apostolorum" de Albano Laziale, ha vuelto al Padre nuestro hermano Sacerdote P. EGIDIO STÉFANO SPAGNOLI, 88 años de edad, 77 de vida paulina, 71 de profesión religiosa, 64 de sacerdocio.

El P. Esteban (Egidio) nació en Paganico (Rieti, Italia) el 29 de marzo de 1925 y entró en la Sociedad de San Pablo jovencísimo, en la comunidad de Roma, el 28 de septiembre de 1936. Tras haber hecho el noviciado en Alba (1941-1942), emitió la primera profesión religiosa el 8 de septiembre de 1942. La profesión perpetua la hizo en Roma, el 15 de septiembre de 1946. El 10 de junio de 1949 fue ordenado sacerdote por mons. Giovanni Urbani..

Sempre abbiam da santificar la mente, quindi istruirsi, nell’apostolato. E poi santificare il cuore, quindi amare l’apostolato per amore di Gesù. E poi santificare la volontà, quindi compiere il nostro apostolato, impiegando le forze che abbiamo (APD56, 236).

Siempre tenemos que santificar la mente, por lo tanto, instruirse, en el apostolado. Y después santificar el corazón, por tanto, amar el apostolado por amor a Jesús. Y luego santificar la voluntad, por tanto, realizar nuestro apostolado, con las fuerzas que tenemos (APD56, 236).

We always must sanctify the mind, therefore instruct ourselves, in the apostolate. And then sanctify the heart, then love the apostolate out of love for Jesus. And then sanctify the will, then carry out our apostolate, using the strength we have (APD56, 236).
