Perpetual Profession - Paolo AsprerSANCTUARY OF SAINT PAUL, MAKATI PHILIPPINES — Here in a Eucharistic celebration presided by Provincial Superior Fr. Jose Aripio, SSP, the SSP Philippines-Macau has a new perpetual member as Cl. Paolo Asprer, SSP professed the vows of chastity, poverty, obedience and fidelity to the Roman Pontiff in matters of the Apostolate on December 8, 2013, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the patroness of the Philippines.

Fr. Andres Inting, SSP expounded in his homily the importance of the vows and how these are the concrete ways and manifestation of the professed complete giving to the Lord and to the Church.

Superior General Don Silvio Sassi, SSP also marked this with an apt message: “This decisive step of definitive consecration brings you closer to the Pauline priesthood. Look at this great gift of the Lord with gratitude and, as you look forward to it, intensify your preparation. Our founder, Blessed James Alberione, never tired of repeating that, other than holiness and generous dedication, our apostolate asks for a double knowledge: the science common to all and the science of the means of communication, in their multiple variety and in their impact on the religious, cultural and moral lives of people.”
