Perpetual Profession 2013The annals of India-Nigeria Province marks 21 July, 2013 as a day of special blessing as five of the junior brothers: Berkmans David, Gnanaprakasham Lawrance, Kallakath Jobine, Mattathinanickal George and Perumparambil Shinto made their final commitment to the Lord at the Shrine of Divine Mercy, Chennai, at 6 pm.

After the solemn entrance procession accompanied by Nathaswaram Dance and Kumba Aarathi the duly professed members lighted the decorated Kuthuvilakku. Fr Gregory, the Rector of the Shrine, welcomed the congregation. Fr Michael Raj, the Provincial Superior of India-Nigeria Province presided over the solemn concelebrated Eucharistic celebration and received the vows. He appreciated the brothers for making this challenging choice in this alluring world and exhorted them to give witness to Christ by living their commitment.

A well-organized felicitation program after the mass provided the parishioners the opportunity to interact with the newly finally professed and express their gratitude towards the members of the Society of St Paul for the service rendered generously in the parish and in the city. Brs David and Shinto proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the newly professed. The presence of members from the Sister Disciples of the Divine Master and from other religious communities, and the parish community added much joy and colour to the event. The celebration concluded with a dinner. Congratulations and best wishes dear brothers!
