Speaking to the congregation where a number of Paulines from different communities of India also participated, the Bishop emphasized the need for transforming Mass Media for the greater good of the individual, the family and the world. He reiterated the special role of the Society of St Paul in this mission.
The parish of St Alphonsa is situated in the rustic Catholic region of the Thamarassery Diocese of Kerala, India. At the lap of the mountains it was flocked with hundreds of Christians and non-Christians who joined in the celebration of the ordination and first Holy Mass of Fr John Joseph SSP.
A striking feature of the event was the astonishing co-operation of the parishioners in organizing the event. The entire parish joined as a family to take part. It was a Christian witness to the Pauline axiom “You are a letter of Christ”. The solemn ceremony joyfully concluded with a fraternal meal. Let God’s name be glorified.
