After a series of nationwide eliminations and regional finals, 12 schools competed in the 9th SPNBQ Battle of the Champions held on November 25, 2019 at the Music Hall, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. The finalists were the following:

  1. Our Lady of Fatima Academy of Davao, Inc. (Southern Mindanao)
  2. Ateneo de Cagayan - Xavier University Junior High School (Northern Mindanao)
  3. Sisters of Mary School-Girlstown, Inc., Cebu (Central Visayas)
  4. Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus (Western Visayas)
  5. Saint Joseph College of Baggao, Inc. (Cagayan Valley)
  6. Naga Parochial School (Bicol)
  7. St. Rose Catholic School, Inc. (Central Luzon)
  8. Saint Paul College of Ilocos Sur (C.A.R / Northern Luzon)
  9. Sisters of Mary School, Banneux, Inc. - Girlstown (Southern Tagalog)
  10. Holy Trinity Academy (Metro Manila)
  11. Sacred Heart School of Parañaque (Metro Manila, Wild Card Finalist)
  12. St. Paul College of Parañaque (Metro Manila, Wild Card Finalist)

After three rounds of questions - Easy, Average, and Difficult - Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus came out as the National Champion. Sisters of Mary School, Banneux, Inc. was Second Place, and Sisters of Mary School - Girlstown got Third Place.

The Battle of the Champions began with a concelebrated Mass at 11 in the morning, with Fr. Celso Godilano as main presider and Fr. Andres Inting as homilist. Attending were the SSP Community, members of the Pauline Family, the Bible Quiz finalists, and their supporters from schools/parishes.

Bishop Broderick Pabillo and Fr. Domie Guzman gave their message through a video. Fr. Gil Alinsangan, Sr. Bernadita Dianzon, FSP, and Sr. Nimfa Ebora, PDDM served as judges. Fr. Paolo Asprer and and Ms. Chammie Chamoro acted as hosts for the first round; Cleric Ian Gabriel Ceblano and Ms. Ilsa Reyes for the second round; and Fr. Andet Inting and Ms. Michelle Sto. Tomas for the final round.

Students from the Sisters of Mary School Banneux, Inc. performed the doxology for Bible enthronement. Others who performed at the intermissions were  students from Sisters of Mary Adlas, Inc., St. Theresa’s College of Quezon City, St. Paul College of Parañaque, Sacred Heart School of Parañaque, Holy Trinity Academy, and John Saga and Marielle Montellano of Tawag nga Tanghalan.

There was also a Special Round, Family Feud special round and Jackpot round, participated by the audience.
