We started the 2nd International Seminar of Pauline Publishers, which will take place from 16 to 21 October at Ariccia, and will be attended by several Paulines representing all our Circumscriptions, as well as some members of the Pauline Family.

Faced with the constant changes in contemporary society – and in particular with the advent of digital technologies and network communication that impact on our apostolate, on editorial choices, on dissemination, on administration, on economy, etc. – where do we find ourselves as “Pauline Publishers”? How can we respond to our times, in the light of the Gospel and in the context of a “Church that goes forth”, to the challenges of our mission? These and many other questions arise spontaneously when we address the issue of our identity as “apostle- publishers” today.

Let us have confidence in the dynamic presence of all the participants who would help us by sharing contents and experiences to deepen this reality and to come up with concrete proposals to update the “editorial lines, the contents, the receivers of the Pauline apostolate”.

With this congregational event, we will try to continue on the path of putting into practice the Objective (2015-2021) of the last General Chapter: «“I do everything for the Gospel” (1 Cor 9:23). Attentive to the signs of the times, renew the impetus of our apostolic action, converting ourselves, our communities and our apostolic structures, to reach everyone, especially in the periphery, utilising likewise the new languages of communication».

We are in the month of October that, for us and for the whole Pauline Family, is dedicated to Jesus Divine Master. Formed at His school, we can all know Him and listen to Him and then communicate Him to our recipients with our testimony of life and with all the means of apostolate that are made available to us.

Let us ask Jesus for light so that our Seminar could produce good fruits for our mission. Let us count on the prayers of everyone!

May Mother Mary, the Publisher of the Word, accompany us with her maternal protection and intercession.
