With the First Religious Profession of Novice Gleindolf Cadiz and Novice Michael Angelo Empizo, the SSP Philippine-Macau Province is truly graced by the Lord in this Jubilee Year of Mercy.

The Eucharistic celebration with the Rite of Religious Profession, held at the Sanctuary of St Paul on June 5, 2016, was presided by the Provincial Superior Fr. Jose Aripio. Concelebrating with him were many SSP priests and some diocesan clergy. Fr. Ramil Tapang, the homilist, elucidated on the meaning of the religious vows, and re-echoed the words of St. Paul dear to the Founder, Blessed James Alberione—Abundantes divitiae gratiae suae—“the immeasurable riches of his grace in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus” (Eph 2:7).

Present in the celebration were the family and friends of Gleindolf and Michael and representatives of the institutes of the Pauline Family. A delegation came from San Fernando, Pampanga, who are friends and benefactors of the Novitiate community.

Before the final blessing, Fr. Khris Llacer, the Provincial Secretary, read the message of Fr. José Valdir De Castro, the Superior General. Having in mind the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the Superior General sent this wish: “May your own mission be colored by Mercy and may your entire Pauline life be impressed by the desire to orient every person to God. Never tire of nourishing yourselves with the teaching of the Gospel, of St. Paul and of Blessed James Alberione.” After the Mass, agape was served at the Alberione Hall.
