The Feast of our Founder Blessed James Alberione was celebrated with due preparations and solemnity on 26 Novemberi n the community of Mumbai. Rev Fr Michael Raj SSP, the Provincial Superior of India-Nigeria-UK-Ireland Province, presided over the solemn Eucharistic celebration, which was well attended by the members of the Pauline Family, priests and religious from the area and a significant number of our staffs, cooperators, benefactors and well-wishers.

Fr Provincial, in his feast day message, highlighted the importance of embracing in a big way the digital world for our apostolic effectiveness. He said that while continuing with the existing apostolic endeavours, we need to accept the challenges of the emerging media and use them as agents of evangelization.

Leading up to the feast day, the Pauline Family (DSP, PDDM, and SSP) in Mumbai organized a triduum and reflected on the themes: Bl Alberione: a man of action, Bl Alberione: a man of contemplation, and Bl Alberione: a mystic.

On the feast day,  Fr Provincial also launched four new titles for the Jubilee Year of Mercy from ST PAULS Publishing. Two of these titles—Mercy Human and Divine and Living the Jubilee Year of Mercy are authored by Fr George Kaitholil, SSP.

A long cherished desire for a perpetual adoration chapel within the premises of St Paul Book and Art Centre in Mumbai, too was realized on the feast of our Blessed Founder. The new chapel was blessed by Fr Michael Raj, SSP and declared open to the public.
