First Profession India 2015Sunday 31 May 2015 on the feast of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity six SSP novices Amith Toppo, Emmanuel Baghwar, Naveen Alok Bariak, Sameer Soreng, Sebastian Rongmei and Vivek Lakra made their First Religious Profession during the Eucharistic celebration held in our community chapel.

The concelebrated solemn Holy Eucharist was presided over by Rev Fr Michael Raj, Provincial Superior. Frs. M J Thomas the Director of Formation, George Chathanatt, Varghese Gnalian, and Aji John the Novice Master among others concebrated. "We need to update ourselves according to the changing times in order to carry out our Pauline mission effectively. We are called not to be successful but rather to be faithful to the responsibilities entrusted to us," Fr Provincial emphasized in his homily.

The First Religious Profession of our dear Brothers was well attended by invitees from Daughters of St Paul, Sister Disciples of the Divine Master, Religious Sisters from neighboring communities and the parents and relatives of the newly professed. After the Holy Eucharist the newly professed brothers were felicitated in our refectory followed by agape. In the evening Novices and Aspirants who had come for the Aspirants Summer Meet (ASM) put up a cultural programme in honour of our Newly Professed Brothers.

 


 

The previous day, May 30, 2015, seven young and vibrant Pre-novices A Siril Kumar, Bishnu Digal, Ezekiel S, K John Chrispin, Nelson Nova, Precious Stone Tham and Rahul Basumatary entered the Novitiate in the community of Bengaluru. The rite of entrance was officiated by Rev Fr Michael Raj the Provincial Superior in the presence of Frs M J Thomas the Director of Formation, George Chathanatt, Varghese Gnalian, Aji John the Novice Master besides other community members.

During the ceremony Fr Provincial emphasized the importance of growing in God's call by following Jesus the Divine Master and learning to live in poverty, chastity and obedience. He also urged the community members to create a conducive atmosphere wherein the novices can lead a grace-filled and fruitful year of Novitiate.
