AustraliaOn Sunday, 23 November 2014, the Pauline Family in Sydney with some lay collaborators gathered together to celebrate the feast day of Blessed James Alberione and to officially close the centenary celebration of the foundation of the Society of St Paul and the Pauline Family. Present for the Eucharistic celebration and the agape of morning tea that follows were members of the SSP , the PDDM and the DSP with some of our lay collaborators.

Fr Joselito Layug, the youngest of the priest-members of the SSP Australia, was the main officiating celebrant. Con-celebrating with him were Fr Andrew Pudussery, Fr Ruben Nadalich and Fr Nestor Candado with assistance from Deacon Gilvan Menezes who comes originally from Brazil. Fr Lito in his homily reminded everyone present that "as Paulines, we are challenged to continue telling our story - the story of our Founder and our Pauline story – always mindful of the mission entrusted to us as apostles of communication, to spread the gospel of Jesus far and wide through the modern means of communication. May the past hundred years continue to inspire us and to fire us with great enthusiasm to remain faithful yet always creative in our mission."
