he day began with the celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours and the Eucharistic Celebration in english, presided by the “youngest” delegate, Fr. Thomas Fogarthy, from the United States. 

In the morning we listened to the talk of Fr. Joseph Pottayil, vicar general, on “The Pauline Institutes and their membership in the Pauline Family”.  He made particular reference to “their participation in the unique mission with “converging aims”.  Group works followed the talk with which the morning closed.

In the afternoon Fr. Dante Innocenzo, delegate of the Institute of the Holy Family in Italy, delivered passionate talk on the theme: “The Holy Family Institute: consecrated Pauline couple, a particular gift of the Spirit to the Church and Society”.  A brief debate followed along with the group works.   One group completed the drafting of the final document,  another group, another group thought of writing a message to members of the various Institutes and another to prepare a series of written applications to be presented to the next General Chapter. 

We closed the day in prayer and Eucharistic adoration and the celebration of Vespers: “We give you thanks, O Lord,  God almighty, who is and who was”.
