Six temporary professed members of the
India-Nigeria Province made their Perpetual Profession on Monday, January
7, 2008, in Mumbai. Brs Arockiasamy, Sebastian, Rony, Plavendran, Dominic
and Prithviraj committed themselves fully and totally for the glory of
God and for the mission of the Church. The Provincial, Rev Fr Varghese
Gnalian, who was also the main celebrant, accepted their vows on behalf of
the Church and the Congregation. Fr George Chathanattu, the Provincial
Vicar in his homily exhorted them to be faithful in their commitment and to be
an inspiration for both the old and young. He reminded them that the path they
have chosen is not an easy one. Being faithful to the Lord, the Master,
nonetheless will guide and take them forward.
All the Juniors of the India-Nigeria Province, the members of the Mumbai
community, members from Daughters of St Paul, Pius Disciples of the Divine
Master and friends gathered to witness, pray for and congratulate the newly
perpetually professed members. The consecrated life which began at the baptism
came to its fulfillment for them. We thank God for His generosity in giving
these young, energetic, vibrant and enthusiastic apostles for the service of the
Church and for the Media apostolate.
